Content creation tips:

1) Keep it short and simple. If you are tackling a large subject, try to break it down and attack each part of the larger subject as single articles. Each part of the article can use a new keyword.

2) Talking of keywords, don't assume that this step of the process is anything less than vitally important. You can quite literally do everything else right and not succeed (and here, success = traffic) because you were sloppy about your keyword selection. Even if you haven't got the energy to write with four supporting keywords per page, make sure the main keyword is a great choice and you pass Analyze It!

3) When is a page of content finished? It's not finished, in my opinion, until it's illustrated, either with video, or at the very least with images. Too many SBI sites have long, text-filled pages. People like to scan pages and they love images and video. When you visit a website, what do YOU enjoy? Deliver that to your visitors. Break up large paragraphs with sub-headings, bullet lists or other visual pauses.

4) Don't let the facts get in the way of a good story. Yes, painstaking research is very admirable, but at the end of the day you're in the entertainment business. Do you want to be WikiPedia Lite, or do you want your visitors to remember your content and recommend it to friends?
